Technology plays a big part
in the book. As Mr. Dallas said on page 78, "Experimentation, communication--that's what this us about, right?" Describe two examples of how characters used technology
and discuss the impact each instance had on the characters' lives.
Technology played a big part in the book. Catalina had used technology to send out a note telling the truth about herself. The note was sent to the whole 7th grade and she could see that people had read the letter. Girls had actually sat with Catalina a lunch and were talking to her and telling her that they loved what she had done. Elliot had used technology as some sort of threat to the people that had been bulling him. The kids had read it and are frightened by the note. Elliot had used the damage they had done to him as a defending moment and decided that they can't do anything about. These two characters had used the technology to defend themselves and that had impact the characters lives
ReplyDeleteIn the story, Elliot and Catalina use technology. Elliot sent a post on kid net telling how he got bullied and what happend when he got bullied. He went in depth on how he got in a fight and thrown off a bridge. This made people look at him forever differently, similar to Catalina's post. Catalina used technology too. She talked about her life and about her and a little about how she was bullied. Before she posted this, people looked at her like she was invisible. Now people are always talking to her and saying hi. Thats a pretty big change in her life.
ReplyDeleteSome examples of how the characters used technology was that Catalina got out her true story and Elliot got out his situations with bullies on kidnet. Catalina told people on kidnet that the things that people said weren't true and she told them what was true about her. Elliot told people on kidnet what had happened to him when he was bullied and told them about the Bully Lab.
ReplyDeleteIn the story Elliot and Catalina use technology. Catalina uses technology to tell the whole seventh grade that all that stuff that Bethany and her friends said about her was wrong and explained it on kid net. Elliot used technology by saying what really happened to him with the jock rots. plus they also explained the revealers/bully lab
ReplyDeleteIn the story, "The Revealers" characters use technology. First, Russell and Catalina asked Mr. Dallas how to send Catalina's letter to the whole seventh grade on KidNet and they did. After people saw the letter they started sending their own experiences of bullying. It effected their lives because Bethany DeMere stopped being mean to Catalina and Richie never bothered Russell. Also, a kid stopped next to Russell and Elliot to say that was pretty cool what you did on KidNet about the bully lab. Those were some examples how characters used technology and how it effected their lives.
ReplyDeletein this book, the characters use technology to sent a message to every one in the grade on what catalina wanted every one to know about her.
ReplyDeleteTechnology, for example kidnet played a big role so far in the book. Catalina used kidnet to send a letter out to the whole 7th grade explaining who she was and how she was being mistreated by some girls. This really effected her, because everyone started to notice her and reflect on what she wrote to who she was. For example, at lunch these two girls that had barely ever noticed her, sat down with her and ate. In addition, Elliot also wrote a letter to the whole 7th grade explaining how he got thrown off a bridge by the evil Jock Rots. Only this time, the Jock Rots got mad at him and threatened Elliot ,that if he ever mentioned their names they would "kill" him. Thats how the characters in Revealers have been using technology so far.
ReplyDeleteA lot of kids in the middle school use technology. I know that Russell, Catalina, and Elliot go on the internet and use technology. They go on kidnet this website were the kids from that school go on to see what kids in the grade are typing. So Catalina, Russell, and Elliot go on kidnet and write about these bully stories not using any names though kids keep seeing these stories and if the bullies see these they can see that there doing something bad and maybe stop.
ReplyDeleteThe two ways technology was used in this book was first when Catalina wanted to tell the truth about herself and that what people heard about her was wrong. When she sent it the next day there was a big difference, girls were asking her to sit next to her and Bethany wasn't bullying her. The next technology that was used was another letter by Elliot explaining what the Jock Rots did to him. He said that they had dropped him off a bridge. That had worked because the bullies stopped bullying him. That is how technology was used so far in this book.
