I think they eliminated colors because they wanted everything and everybody to be exactly the same. They didn't want people to pick their job, spouse or kids because they were afraid of things going wrong and people revolting. -Caroline
i do not like this idea even though having a choice in anything is considered dangerous in the community. you should be able to enjoy the pleasures of life like colors, music, happiness, and the choice to pick ur own path. They removed colors out of human genes probably because probably give the people the concept of choice. for example someone may like red over blue... as harmless as it seems it could make one want more decisions toc thereselves.
I don't know what the big deal of making a choice like what color tunic to wear is. They might have eliminated colors because some people see colors differently than others, and they want everyone to see the same things.
Well, it seems like the Elders fear the power of choices. They want to choose the way of life in the community for EVERYONE so nobody makes a choice that could disrupt the normal way of life and potentially get people hurt so they feel like they have to be control freaks. Personally I would hate for someone to decide every aspect of my life. -A-Town.

The elders being able to control colors scares me because imagine what else they can do to change the community.But i agree with all of you about the elders eliminating colors because there would be differences between people and elders not wanting that. -jackt
