In this community, many choices are made for you. Basically, they choose how you live your life. They chose what you wear, at what age level you can do stuff, what job you have, etc. If I lived in a society like this I would most likely not notice it because I lived like it for all my life, but if I did notice it, I would most likely rebel. :) -Maggie
I agree but although the choices are made for you, if you wanted to be a pilot and you talked about it a lot and did volunteer hours at a place that has to do with planes then the Elders notice this, they will most likely assign you to be a Pilot. But say you hoped for pilot and you never talked about it and did lots of different volunteering, it may be different from the Elders perspective
Some of the choices people have made for them are their job, their age (kind of), and basically their whole life. I would not want to live in a community like this, and I would want to make my own choices and decisions. Plus, if you get a job you don't like, there is nothing you can do about it, so that is a downside. -Bonnie

Deleteedit on my last note. Volunteering is like a resume, if you do something a lot it will most likely get you the job relating to that volunteer job

ReplyDeleteI would not like to live in a society where a group of people I will never meet will choose my life for me by just watching every single thing I do.
