Chapter 22 - "starving"

At the end of this chapter, Jonas realizes he now knows what it truly means to be "starving". Earlier in the book we learned he was chastised for using this term incorrectly. In what ways would he have been starving if he stayed in the Community? Be specific.

  1. He would be starving for a life like one from the past, with love, family, color, and the ability to choose what he wants to do with his life. And he would also be starving for freedom and no more releases. -Andrew

  2. He would be starving for the freedom of everyone else in the community. He would want them to have things like feelings, color, and their own choices in their lives.

  3. He could be starving for feelings, colors, snow, weather, etc. Not actually "starving" but longing for it.

  4. He would be starving of colors, memories, real feelings, and probably choices. I mean, EVERYONE NEEDS FREEDOM!

    Thank you. -Bows-
